The Way to $100K
The California Montessori Project (CMP) - Capitol Campus needs your help!
Through school district funding formulas, the CMP Capitol Campus does not get as much funding as traditional SCUSD-managed schools. Because of this we are forced to continually seek additional funding to support our students and teachers.
We love providing our students with a quality Montessori education, as do our teachers and classroom assistants. This is one of the reasons our costs are high. Because of our low student-to-teacher and assistant ratio, CMP students get more focus and attention. However, with the additional staff, materials and focus on your child’s overall success, this can be expensive.
We know you are constantly asked to support our school and students. This can be overwhelming for everyone.
That is why we are asking you to become a CMP Capitol Evergreen Donor. Through this program, we are asking you to donate monthly. We have set a goal of raising $20 per student per month. We know this may not be possible for every family, but any amount is helpful for our school and our goals. If you are in a place to give more, that is welcome, too.
We know for some families, this can feel like a stretch; check out our roadmap for ideas on how to invite family and friends to help.
By becoming an Evergreen Donor, your investment will help us continue to provide a great Montessori education, and continue to improve the success of our children.
We know how important it is that you know exactly what you are donating money toward. Our specific goals for 2023 involve improving the existing play options available in our outdoor area. Specifically, we are planning on purchasing a new play structure, and additional sensory options, such as swings and a sandbox with your donations.
Investing in new playground equipment will not only provide our children with an enjoyable and safe play environment, but it will also help them to grow and develop in a holistic manner. With your donation, we can provide our students with an engaging and stimulating playground that will help them to reach their full potential.
CMP is Montessori
At the California Montessori Project (CMP), we believe in the power of self-directed, child-centered learning.
Our classrooms are designed to be hands-on and interactive, so kids stay engaged and excited about learning. But we don't just focus on academics, we also put a big emphasis on developing our students' social and emotional skills, because we know that's essential for overall well-being and success in life.
It's not just us saying this, research shows that Montessori students tend to have better social and emotional skills, and are more independent, self-motivated, and engaged in their learning.
Plus, Montessori education is known for promoting creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Studies have also found that Montessori students have a better cultural and social understanding, more peace and respect for diversity, and a sense of community.
So, when you support CMP, you're not just supporting a child’s education, you're supporting their learning and growth as a whole child. And that's something we can all get behind.
