Staff Profile

This will be Shelby Gerger’s fourth year as a 6-9 teacher in the Marlin classroom at the CMP Carmichael campus.  Before joining CMP, she had 2 years of experience in the Montessori setting in the Sacramento area and 7 years of experience as a teacher in a traditional setting in Washington and Idaho.  She graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Elementary Education and after moving to California in 2012, she obtained her California State Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an English Learner Authorization.  After falling in love with teaching in a Montessori classroom, Shelby also earned her Elementary I (6-9) credential through the American Montessori Society (AMS) at the Montessori Training Center in Shingle Springs.   Shelby has two daughters, Shaylie, 11, and Avalie, 6.  They are an absolute joy and her inspiration!   She loves spending time outdoors, reading, and hanging out with her beautiful daughters.
